the black box
Christopher Mulrooney
it retains the treatise
expounded unto us of silence
enjoined at all events
for the concatenation of a myriad eventualities
that happen it may come by us
and pass or focus all its strength
to deposit the world of mayhap
on our doorstep
this is a circus be it warned or warning
or that it fold by us its tents
and use the high poles of the roustabouts
to plant a fearsome image
as of an aerialist above nothing
Christopher Mulrooney
has written poems in
Review Americana, Tulane Literary Review, Mandala Journal, Pitbull, Mot Dit, Burning Houses, and
Otoliths.
